Manage the models in your scene and attach notes to them

Objects list

Click Objects on the left of the 3D view (available in every workspace). Click the triangle next to a model to see its details.

  • Thumbnail, number of vertices, polygons and holes, and memory use
  • A warning if the model has a defect (see Repair Tool and Model Errors)
  • Rename a model by double-clicking its name
  • Show or hide models. Click and drag across the eye icons to change several at once.
  • Turn 2D hollowing on or off per model
  • Sort by name or import order with the gear icon at the bottom right

Object notes

Add text, links, images and lists to a model, and share them inside a LYS or LYT file. Click the text icon next to the model's name in the Objects list to add or edit a note, and hover over the name to preview it. Select text to show the formatting toolbar.

  • Plus users can lock a note with a password, which is useful for copyright or branding information. A lost password can't be recovered.
  • Notes are only kept in LYS and LYT files. They're lost when you export to STL or OBJ.
