Add a base under your model to help it stick to the build plate
A raft sits between the build plate and your model's supports. It improves adhesion and makes the print easier to remove without breaking supports, but uses more resin.
Add a raft
- Select a model.
- In the Prepare workspace, click the Raft tool.
- Choose a raft type in the panel on the right, then adjust its settings.
Available types include Cylinder, Cube, Pixelate, Rectangle, Grid, Pixelated round, Line triangle, Shape and Shape Wall. Line triangle offers a good balance between adhesion and resin use. Some types are only available with Plus. To remove a raft, choose Disabled.
Tips
- In most cases, a raft isn't required.
- Keep it thin: 0.5 to 1.5 mm is usually enough.
- A larger raft surface increases the risk of delamination.
