What CTB v4 is and how to use its extra settings
CTB v4 is a slice file format for printers that use a ChiTu motherboard. Some printers need it, and some older printers can use it after a firmware update, which unlocks extra settings. The CTB version used for export is set in your printer settings, not in your resin settings. Printers that support v4 can still use v3 if needed.
Two-Stage Motion Control (TSMC)
TSMC splits the lift and the retract into two zones, each with its own distance and speed: a slow lift to peel the print gently, then a faster lift to save time; a fast retract, then a slow final approach so the print re-enters the resin gently.
- Turn on TSMC in the Global Parameters of your resin settings.
- In the Burn-In Layers and Normal Layers sections, set the two distances and speeds for the lift and the retract. One cell in each pair is greyed out because it's calculated automatically.
A good starting point uses a total of 8 mm: lift 3 mm at 65 mm/min, then 5 mm at 150 mm/min; retract 6 mm at 150 mm/min, then 2 mm at 50 mm/min.
Light off Delay or Resting time
Both add a pause before each exposure so the resin settles, which helps avoid poor surface finish and delamination. Choose one of the two in the Global Parameters.
