Import a manufacturer's profile, use a community profile, or create your own
Each resin profile belongs to one printer, because every printer needs its own settings, even for the same resin. Before you start, select the resin printer you want to add the profile to, then open the Resin menu in the toolbar and click Add New Resin.
Option 1: Import a profile from a file
Use this for a profile downloaded from a resin manufacturer's website, or a backup you made. Resin profiles use the .lyr format.
- Click Import from File.
- Click Add Files and select your .lyr file.
- Tick the resin profiles you want, then click Import.
Check that the profile was made for your printer. Lychee Slicer lets you import any profile onto any printer.
Option 2: Use a community resin profile
The community library holds resin profiles shared by other Lychee Slicer users, with likes and success rates to help you choose.
- Use the filters to find your resin. You can sort by validation, likes or success rate.
- Select one or more profiles and click Add Selected Profiles.
- Choose the printer to add them to and click Copy.
Rating your prints in your 3D printing history helps other users find reliable settings.
Option 3: Create your own profile
In the community screen, click Add New Resin at the bottom right. Lychee Slicer creates a custom profile you can rename and adjust. This is also how to add a resin brand that isn't listed.
Editing a profile
Select the printer, brand, name and layer thickness, then click Edit. Make sure the printer highlighted on the left matches the one at the top, or you may edit the wrong profile.
