Why you see this message, and how to free up a computer slot
Your Lychee Slicer license can be active on 3 computers at a time. When both slots are taken, logging in on another computer shows Computer limit reached.
Why it can appear even if you only use one computer
- Logging out doesn't free a slot. A computer keeps its slot until it's revoked.
- The same computer can appear twice. Lychee Slicer identifies computers by their MAC address. If that changes (reinstalling your operating system, a new network card, a VPN, or Wi-Fi MAC address randomization / "private address"), Lychee Slicer sees it as a new computer.
How to free a slot
- Open Lychee Slicer on a computer where you're still logged in.
- Go to File → Preferences → My Account → Saved Computer List.
- Click the red bin icon next to the computer you want to remove.
You can revoke a computer once every 4 days. For full details, see Revoke a Device License.
Can't revoke, or can't log in anywhere?
Contact us through the contact form with your account email and we'll reset your computer slots manually.
Stop it from happening again
Turn off MAC address randomization (often called "Random hardware address" on Windows or "Private Wi-Fi address" on Mac) for your network on that computer. See Device not recognized / MAC address issue.
