What to do if Windows shows "Windows protected your PC" when you run the installer
When you launch the Lychee Slicer installer, Windows may show a blue message saying "Windows protected your PC" with a Don't run button.
Why it appears
Windows SmartScreen flags newly released installers until they've built up enough download reputation with Microsoft. It happens after each new version or certificate renewal and doesn't mean the file is unsafe. The warning goes away on its own as more people download that version.
How to continue the installation
- Click More info in the message.
- Click Run anyway. The installer starts normally.
