Opening your generated model in Lychee Slicer to prepare it for printing
Once you've downloaded your generated model, you can open it directly in Lychee Slicer to prepare it for printing.
Option 1: Open directly from Lychee Gen
Click Slice with Lychee on the model page. This automatically launches Lychee Slicer (if installed) and imports the model into your workspace.
Option 2: Import manually
If you downloaded the .glb file instead:
- Open Lychee Slicer.
- Click Add Object or drag and drop the file into the build plate area.
- Navigate to your downloaded model and select the .glb file.
The model will appear in your scene, where you can rotate, scale, support, and slice it as usual.
Notes:
- Generated models are provided in .glb format, which Lychee Slicer supports natively (version 7.4.5 or above required).
- Depending on the model's complexity, it may take a few seconds to load.
- Once imported, you can save your project as a .lys file or export it to your printer's format.
If you run into issues importing or viewing the model, contact us with your Lychee account email and a description of the issue.
